Coaches, Athletes, and Parents,

 

The Harrisburg Invitational Tournament is proud to announce its 7th Annual College Showcase.  This showcase will allow high school athletes an opportunity to display their talents for college coaches.   Our staff will run the athletes through drills as requested by the coaches who will be attending this showcase.

 

The deadline to enroll into the Showcase will be July 19, 2008 for players who want their information published in the coaches program.  This allows the college coaches many opportunities to see the athletes perform. 

 

Player resumes with pictures may be sent for the coaches program.  A template for standard resume and picture is available.  Please check the website or email Scott Bowers.

 

Scheduled drills (Subject to change)

Timed Running – Home to First base (2 times), Home to second base, and second base to home

Throwing – Multiple distances, Infielders, short to first base, outfield to second base

Defense – Infielders and Outfielders work individual and group

Catchers – defense, blocking, bunt defense

Pitching – New for 2008 – Pitchers will throw in the morning and afternoon sessions

Batting – New for 2008 – Players will bat twice

The cost will be $100.00 per athlete.  Each athlete will receive an informational packet with material regarding colleges and a sheet listing all the coaches who have committed to attending this showcase.
